Report Says IDF Raised Alert in Gaza Divisions Over Hamas Abduction Threat

The IDF and Shin Bet heightened readiness in two Gaza divisions after intelligence indicated a possible Hamas attempt to abduct soldiers, according to a report published Sunday evening. The report said commanders in the Gaza territorial division and Division 99 had been told several days earlier to remain in their sectors and review their readiness. It also described about 40 Israeli positions inside the Yellow Line in Gaza and 10 outside the Gaza perimeter fence.
