Prosecutors Seek Review of Netanyahu Trial Order to Disclose Investigation Document

Prosecutors in Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial have asked the Jerusalem District Court to reconsider an order requiring disclosure of part of an internal police investigation report. The request, signed by prosecutor Yehudit Tirosh, argues that the defense already received the underlying communications information. Judges Rivka Friedman-Feldman, Moshe Bar-Am and Oded Shaham ordered disclosure on September 7, describing the material as potentially relevant to the defendants’ defense. Prosecutors say David Sharan’s location information was supplied through a summary and other information appears in Shlomo Filber’s communications analysis. They also argue that releasing internal notes could harm investigators’ ability to maintain working records.
