Shin Bet chief David Zini reportedly warned Israel’s security cabinet about attempts to establish military infrastructure and battalion-like formations in some dispersed Bedouin communities in the Negev. In remarks disclosed on Tuesday evening, he was quoted as saying the agency repeatedly disrupts such activity and describing the issue as very worrying. The warning was attributed to the cabinet’s most recent meeting, whose date was not specified in the report. The discussion also addressed security threats from Gaza and Judea and Samaria.
