Prosecutors filed an indictment in Jerusalem District Court on October 8 against Mohammed Shalabi, 22, a pharmacy student from Beit Hanina, alleging preparations for bomb and poison attacks against Jewish civilians and Israeli security personnel. He is charged with preparation for a terrorist act of murder and receiving training for terrorist purposes. According to the indictment, he accessed terrorist instructional material, bought chemicals and equipment during two trips to Ramallah, and conducted a chemical experiment at home. Prosecutors requested his detention until the proceedings conclude; the allegations have not been adjudicated.
