Liberman Pledges Joint Israel–Diaspora Headquarters to Restore Global Support

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival 2017 solo portrait of Avigdor Liberman in a dark suit, blue shirt and patterned tie against a dark neutral interior, providing political context for his Israel–diaspora pledge.

Avigdor Liberman pledged to establish a joint emergency headquarters bringing together the State of Israel and Jewish diaspora communities following a change of government. In a statement published Friday, he said the body would work to regain international public support and counter institutional antisemitism. He argued that decisions by democratic governments depend on public opinion and that losing public support ultimately erodes political backing for Israel. Liberman promised to restore Israel’s international standing and said the joint headquarters would be established immediately after the government changes.
