Jerusalem Court Rejects Guy Rofe’s Appeal Against Five-Year Medical-License Suspension

Jerusalem District Court rejected Guy Rofe’s appeal against a Health Ministry decision suspending his medical license for five years, the ministry announced on October 13. Rofe had held a physician’s license and a specialty in obstetrics and gynecology. The appeal challenged the disciplinary decision of Judge Strashnov, the ministry official responsible for judicial and disciplinary decisions. The ministry also said the court held that a physician cannot withhold medical records by invoking protection against self-incrimination, describing this as the first time the court had addressed the issue.
