Colombia Holds Jerusalem Embassy Opening With Gideon Sa’ar and Omar Bula Escobar

Israel’s Foreign Ministry broadcast the official opening ceremony of Colombia’s embassy in Jerusalem on October 14, with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and his Colombian counterpart, Omar Bula Escobar. The ceremony takes place during Bula’s October 13–16 visit, following the restoration of diplomatic relations in August. Colombia says the embassy is intended to strengthen its institutional presence, diplomatic channels and consular capacity in Israel. Colombia listed security, transnational crime, investment and institutional cooperation among its priorities for a bilateral roadmap during the visit, alongside cooperation in agriculture, water, health and education.
