IDF Says Troops Fired at Suspect With Sharp Object During Binyamin Clashes

The IDF said troops fired into the air and then toward a suspect it said ran at them with a sharp object near Khirbat Abu Falah on Friday. It said he posed a threat, without reporting his subsequent condition. IDF and Border Police forces had responded to a reported violent confrontation in the Binyamin sector, where foreign media were present and a female media worker was injured. The IDF described the shooting as occurring at a separate point in the confrontation. It said the clashes were dispersed and police forensic investigators would collect evidence under military protection.
