Smotrich Offers Personal Calls to Undecided Voters
Published
Bezalel Smotrich offered on October 27 to telephone undecided voters himself, asking supporters to send him the numbers of friends who had not yet decided how to vote. In an election-day message on his official Telegram channel, he urged support for Religious Zionism and identified the party’s ballot letter as ט. The request addressed supporters who knew someone still considering their choice and offered direct contact with Smotrich. “We are not giving up on any vote,” Smotrich said. His post supplied a campaign contact number for the requests. In a separate message published ten minutes earlier, he urged participation and warned supporters against backing parties whose passage of the electoral threshold was uncertain. He described the choice in terms of Israel’s security, existence and Jewish identity, presenting those issues as his reasons for supporting Religious Zionism. The personal-call offer followed another voter-persuasion effort he promoted on October 25. In that earlier appeal, Smotrich publicized a team led by Maj. Gen. (res.) Yossi Bachar. Supporters were asked to provide undecided voters’ telephone numbers and explain which issues mattered to them, so Bachar could help persuade them. The October 27 appeal brought Smotrich himself into the proposed telephone outreach.
