Scenes of the destruction of underground infrastructure in the Ali al-Taher Heights
Translated from ArabicStatement by the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces: After the Northern Command and 36th Division forces completed their operational control of the Ali al-Taher Heights in southern Lebanon, Israel Defense Forces troops are continuing to destroy the network of underground routes that Hezbollah established in the area over the years. This network was established over nearly two decades with funding and direction from the Iranian terrorist regime, and was used as a main command headquarters and as the headquarters of Hezbollah’s “Badr” unit in the area. The destruction of the infrastructure is an achievement of a complex ground maneuver that included deception and ruse operations, as 36th Division forces took control of the Beaufort mountain range from an unexpected direction after crossing the Litani River, surprising the terrorist Hezbollah. All the terrorists who were trapped inside the underground routes were eliminated, or they fled. Despite Hezbollah’s statements emphasizing that it would defend this infrastructure at any cost, it failed to do so, and even abandoned its members and left them to die inside it. We will remain a buffer force between every source of threat and the residents of the State of Israel. It is our duty.
Translated from ArabicSpokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces: The IDF destroyed the underground infrastructure in the Ali al-Taher Heights area The IDF forces completed the destruction of the underground routes in the Ali al-Taher Heights area, after the forces recently achieved operational control over the area of the heights above and below ground. Today (Thursday), following lengthy preparatory activity, forces from the 36th Division destroyed the underground routes in the Ali al-Taher Heights area, which is located within the security zone, with the aim of permanently neutralizing the ability of the Hezbollah terrorist organization to plan and carry out terrorist plots against citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces from this infrastructure. The terrorist infrastructure that was destroyed was more than two kilometers long. Dozens of missiles, rocket projectiles, and unmanned aircraft manufactured in Iran were found inside the underground infrastructure, as well as machine guns, dozens of anti-tank missiles, and hundreds of mines and explosive devices. As published last week, a central command complex belonging to the "Badr" unit was found inside the underground infrastructure. It included command and control rooms, rooms for storing weapons, and sleeping rooms that enabled the terrorists to manage the fighting and remain there for long periods. This is strategic infrastructure that was built over two decades and financed and planned by the Iranian terrorist regime. IDF forces will continue operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon in order to remove threats and destroy terrorist infrastructure in the area, and will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm citizens of the State of Israel. The IDF continues to uphold the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
Translated from Arabic#عاجل The security forces eliminated a terrorist from the terrorist Hamas movement who took part in numerous terrorist operations in which soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli civilians were killed. In a joint operation by the Shin Bet, the Israel Defense Forces, and the Gideonim 33 unit of Lahav 433, the security forces yesterday (Wednesday) eliminated the terrorist Farah Hamed in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip area. He was a terrorist from the military wing of the terrorist Hamas movement, previously held a senior position in the West Bank Headquarters structure, and took part in fighting against IDF forces during the war. As part of his duties, Hamed advanced terrorist plans in Judea and Samaria in recent years, was part of the Silwad cell for years, and carried out several major terrorist attacks in the Binyamin area, in which Israeli civilians were killed and others were wounded. Hamed also took part in the shooting attack in Ein Yabrud in October 2003, in which three IDF soldiers were killed: Sergeant Elad Polak, may his memory be a blessing, Sergeant Roi Yaakov Solomon, may his memory be a blessing, and First Sergeant Erez Eidan, may his memory be a blessing. Hamed was arrested and released to the Gaza Strip in 2011 as part of the Schalit deal. Since then, he continued to belong to the military wing of the terrorist Hamas movement and worked to recruit and direct operatives on behalf of the movement in order to advance terrorist operations in Judea and Samaria. Before the airstrike, steps were taken to reduce the likelihood of harming civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. The IDF, Shin Bet, and police will continue to defend the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, and work to eliminate threats in the area.

Translated from Arabic#Urgent: The Etzion Brigade carried out a large-scale operation to thwart terrorism, searching more than 80 sites in the al-Arroub refugee camp. IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, along with the police of the Shai District, led by the Etzion Brigade, carried out a large-scale operation to thwart terrorism in the al-Arroub refugee camp earlier this week (Monday). As part of the activity, the forces searched more than 80 sites in the area and arrested 20 suspects who were transferred for questioning by the police. Dozens of other suspects were also transferred for questioning on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities against Israeli citizens. Among those arrested was a cell of minors who planned to throw stones and Molotov cocktails in the area. This activity joins the Etzion Brigade's ongoing effort to thwart terrorism and protect the area's residents. During the past month, the brigade's forces carried out a series of operational activities, during which 22 suspects were arrested, seven searches for weapons were conducted, 22 sweeps were carried out, and five searches were conducted using drones; four additional suspects were also transferred for questioning. The operational activity in the al-Arroub area is part of the security forces' ongoing effort to thwart terrorist infrastructure, locate weapons and prevent terrorist activities in the area.
Translated from Arabic#عاجل The IDF and Shin Bet destroyed three weapons depots belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. The IDF and Shin Bet attacked yesterday (Wednesday) in three different areas of the Gaza Strip and destroyed three weapons depots belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization. The Hamas terrorist organization stored weapons, explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and additional combat equipment inside the depots. Before carrying out the strikes, steps were taken to reduce the likelihood of civilian injury, including advance warnings, the use of precision munitions, and aerial surveillance. The IDF will continue to work decisively to strip the Hamas terrorist organization of its military capabilities in the Gaza Strip and thwart any attempt to rebuild them or acquire combat means in order to target our forces. IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the field in accordance with the agreement and will continue working to remove any immediate threat.
Translated from ArabicOn the occasion of visiting the shrine of our master Prophet Sblan, peace be upon him, I extend to the members of the Druze community my sincerest congratulations and warmest wishes. To our soldiers and commanders from Bani Maaruf, and to their families who stand behind them with strength and patience: you are a source of pride, and your service is a living testament to a covenant of brotherhood and loyalty written through deeds, not words. We ask God to protect our soldiers and commanders, return them safely to their families, and have mercy on our martyrs who fulfilled their duty and paid the highest price in defense of the homeland. May the visit be accepted, and may you and your families enjoy a thousand blessings every year. May God protect Bani Maaruf and our soldiers and commanders. With sincere regards Ella Waweya
Translated from ArabicMuein Mohammed al-Arabid, head of Hamas's internal security apparatus in Gaza, worked to consolidate Hamas's control in northern Gaza and promote terrorist operations against IDF forces. His arrest and transfer to Israel came to remove the threat and undermine Hamas's control in the area.
Translated from ArabicOn the occasion of the International Day to Protect Education from Attack: This is how the Hezbollah terrorist organization exploits educational institutions for terrorist activities. Throughout the war, the Israel Defense Forces repeatedly revealed how the Hezbollah terrorist organization exploits educational institutions and civilian infrastructure for terrorist activities, thereby putting students and civilians at risk. During an operation in the Bint Jbeil area, Israel Defense Forces troops found more than 130 weapons and other combat materials belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization inside a school, including Kalashnikov rifles, pistols, and other weapons. In another case, during a targeted raid on a school in the Al-Khiam area, the forces found hundreds of weapons and other combat materials, including anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, hand grenades, launchers, small arms, and mines. Markings belonging to the UN organization UNHCR were also found. During an additional operation in southern Lebanon, Israel Defense Forces troops found military equipment and clothing belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization inside a school, certificates of completion for training courses of the “Radwan Force” unit, surface-to-surface missiles, and launchers. In another case, the Israel Defense Forces spotted Hezbollah operatives firing rockets toward the north of the country from a launcher they had concealed inside a school in the area of the village of Tair Zibna. Following the observation, the Israel Defense Forces struck the compound. These findings are only a small part of the discoveries carried out by Israel Defense Forces troops throughout the war, and once again demonstrate the unacceptable use that terrorist organizations make of civilian infrastructure, particularly educational institutions.
Translated from ArabicCombat helicopters and missile ships alongside numerous ground forces: conclusion of a defensive exercise for the 80th Division. The security forces, led by the 80th Division and in cooperation with the Air Force and Navy, completed a large-scale exercise to strengthen readiness and defense in the areas of the city of Eilat and the Arava. During the exercise, the forces operated simultaneously in several arenas and trained for dozens of multi-branch scenarios, including the infiltration of naval vessels from the sea, a kidnapping incident, curved-trajectory fire, mass-casualty incidents, and infiltration into bases and civilian institutions, including hotels, schools, and bathing beaches. This was carried out while testing the mobilization of forces and activation of the force structure in the area, the rapid transition from routine to emergency, decision-making processes, and the provision of an operational response at all command levels. In addition, as part of the exercise, the 96th Division was unexpectedly called up to manage an emergency event that included infiltration scenarios from the eastern border into the Dead Sea area. The Israel Defense Forces will conduct an in-depth study of the lessons learned from the exercise, identifying weaknesses and noteworthy points, with the aim of continuing to improve its defensive capabilities and readiness to face a variety of scenarios.
Translated from Arabic#عاجل This week, the Israel Defense Forces arrested the three Palestinian police officers who were involved in setting up a checkpoint in Area C near Beitunia and in detaining and assaulting an Israeli citizen, thereby exceeding their authority to operate in these areas. The police officers are being investigated by the security forces. The security establishment described the incident as a serious overreach by the Palestinian security services, which endangered the Israeli citizen's life and involved the use of aggressive and excessive force against him. The Israel Defense Forces continue security coordination in accordance with the directives of the political leadership. At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces will not accept any violation of the established procedures.
Translated from ArabicYesterday, the graduation ceremony for the 153rd naval officers’ course was held at the Naval Base in Haifa, presided over by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir and Navy Commander Major General Eyal Harel. Forty-two naval officers, including two women officers, completed the course after taking part during their training in various operational activities, both overt and covert, offensive and defensive, as part of Operations “Roaring Lion” and “Rising Lion.” From today, they join the Navy’s command ranks and will serve as combat commanders aboard various naval vessels. Navy Commander Major General Eyal Harel said: In the new maritime arena, there is no longer any distant front. To anyone seeking to challenge the State of Israel from the maritime domain and from faraway distances, I say: distance will not grant immunity to anyone seeking to harm us. The Navy was built to bring the power of the State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces even to those seeking to challenge it from thousands of miles away. And to anyone seeking to change the balance of power in the Mediterranean and Red Seas, I say: We monitor these moves, track them, and prepare for them. The Navy will not accept a reality in which the freedom of action of the State of Israel or its strategic interests in its maritime domain are under threat. We will be there, and anywhere else, openly and covertly, to fulfill our responsibility and carry out our mission by all means.
Translated from ArabicThroughout the Gaza Strip: The Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet destroyed three weapons depots and a launch pit from which rockets were fired toward the State of Israel during the war. The IDF and Shin Bet carried out a precise strike yesterday (Tuesday) in several areas throughout the Gaza Strip and destroyed three weapons depots belonging to the terrorist Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements. In addition, a launch pit from which rockets were fired toward the territory of the State of Israel during the war was destroyed. The terrorist organizations stored dozens of weapons of various types inside these depots, including rockets, Kalashnikov-type weapons, and additional combat equipment. The IDF also identified that terrorists from the Hamas terrorist movement have recently been reaching these depots and using the weapons stored inside them to carry out guard duties and consolidate control in the Gaza Strip. The IDF will continue to act resolutely to strike the capabilities of the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip and thwart any attempt to rebuild these capabilities or acquire weapons with the aim of targeting our forces. IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to work to remove any immediate threat.
Translated from ArabicChief of Staff Major General Eyal Zamir during the graduation ceremony of the 153rd cohort of naval officers: At this very moment, deep in the Mediterranean Sea, the “Drakon” submarine of the Navy is making its way to Israel, and it is the sixth submarine of the State of Israel. Naval officers and its finest fighters are leading this engineering masterpiece from the factory in Germany to a port in Israel, with all the symbolism, complexity, and strategic importance carried by this unique war machine. In a few days it will enter the port where we are standing, embodying more than anything else the transformation our Navy has undergone over the past year, as it has become an immensely powerful strategic arm, capable of reaching any target in the Middle East and even beyond. More than a thousand days have passed since the State of Israel found itself in a prolonged, unprecedented, multi-front military confrontation, defending our existence in our homeland. This battle began on October 7, and during it we moved from defense to offense, and from failure to victory. We removed and pushed back existential threats that had been built against us over the course of years, and we acted resolutely until all our hostages, the living and the dead, were freed, every last one of them. We severely damaged the capabilities of all our enemies, and most importantly, we radically changed our security doctrine: no more containment, but taking the initiative to remove threats before they materialize. We will not allow existential threats to emerge from extremist enemies, and we will not allow terrorist organizations to establish themselves along our borders. The Navy in the Israel Defense Forces was a decisive part of this campaign. In each of the nearby arenas, it used its capabilities to support the ground forces in maneuvering and systematic fire missions, and in some distant arenas it led the campaign independently and comprehensively. In the Bab el-Mandeb, in the heart of Beirut, in Lebanon’s ports, and off the coast of Gaza, we proved that the long arm of the Israel Defense Forces is strong, determined, and capable of reaching everywhere to strike those seeking to harm us. The State of Israel resembles an island state. Our main link to the world passes through the sea, which is our essential oxygen artery. Therefore, the Navy is required to operate in the depths of the seas, openly and covertly, above and below the surface, to remove threats, open sea lanes, deter, and prevail. As of this evening, each and every one of you bears responsibility not only for the ship and its crew, but for the state’s lifeline. As part of the multi-year “Hoshen” plan, which is expected to take effect in the coming years, we have devoted special attention to the maritime arena, an important and necessary focus to ensure our military superiority at sea in the years ahead. The Navy’s “Drakon” vessel is the first submarine, and additional advanced naval capabilities will follow, including “Reshef”-class missile ships, which will give us the ability to operate at sea on a broader scale, remain for longer periods, with more lethal fire capabilities and operational power extending for years. The battlefield is changing at astonishing speed, and we are changing with it, recognizing that the future includes unmanned systems, robots, drones, and the widespread use of artificial intelligence. During the past week, I approved the establishment of a new arm in the Israel Defense Forces. This is a historic step: the establishment of an arm for unmanned systems and artificial intelligence, which will be responsible for this field that is developing at a rapid pace. Soon this ambition will become reality. Naval, ground, and aerial robotic capabilities will be developed. Unmanned systems will be able to operate alongside manned combat crews or carry out independent missions, and they will increase operational activity on the battlefield and help save human lives. This is a once-in-a-generation transformation, and the Israel Defense Forces intends to lead it at the global level. I have instructed that we inaugurate the new arm on the next Hanukkah. The Navy will also benefit from its fruits by incorporating advanced and autonomous capabilities above and below the sea’s surface. Commanders, the Israel Defense Forces faced unprecedented challenges and achieved a historic military victory. Iran and the entire axis have been weakened, but they have not disappeared, and their plans and capabilities to threaten us have also been severely damaged. We removed invasion threats, damaged their ability to launch barrages of missiles and rockets, and damaged their nuclear program. Sea lanes are a target, and the struggle for superiority at sea does not stop for a single moment. We are alert and prepared for any development, in any arena.
Translated from Arabic#عاجلDuring a brigade-level operation in Samaria: IDF troops killed a terrorist in the village of Aqraba who attempted to carry out a terrorist attack against our forces* During the past night (Monday), IDF troops and Border Police fighters, under Shin Bet direction, operated to thwart terrorism in the areas of the villages of Qabalan, Awseirin, Aqraba, and Yitma belonging to the Samaria Brigade. In the village of Aqraba, IDF troops arrived to interrogate a terrorist belonging to a terrorist organization. Upon their arrival, the terrorist threw a Molotov cocktail and an improvised explosive device at them, with no injuries. The forces activated the “pressure cooker” procedure, surrounding from all sides the building where the terrorist had hidden, and then storming the building. Nahal Reconnaissance Unit fighters killed the terrorist while he was carrying a knife he intended to use to harm our forces. The forces also arrested four wanted individuals, including three terrorists who traded in weapons, and a terrorist who planned to carry out a terrorist attack in the near term. During searches at 70 locations in the village area, the forces interrogated about 60 wanted individuals and found ammunition, a launcher, and additional military equipment.

Translated from Arabic#عاجل During the targeting of a terrorist from the Hamas terrorist organization: The IDF diverted the munition’s trajectory in real time to avoid hitting civilians Yesterday (Sunday), the IDF was in the process of targeting a terrorist from the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. During the strike, a gathering of civilians near the terrorist was detected. Since it is impossible to cancel the munition after it has been launched, its trajectory was diverted in real time away from the target, with the aim of preventing civilians from being hit. This event once again embodies the IDF’s commitment to distinguishing between terrorists and civilians and taking every possible precaution to minimize harm to them. Attached is documentation of the munition’s trajectory diversion: During the targeting of a Hamas terrorist: The IDF diverted the munition’s trajectory in real time to avoid hitting civilians Yesterday (Sunday), the IDF was in the process of targeting a terrorist from the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. Translated from Arabic#Urgent IDF soldiers eliminated a terrorist in a face-to-face encounter in the Shuqeif Heights area (Beaufort): the IDF attacked in response to this. Earlier today (Monday), during a sweep operation carried out by a force from the Golani Reconnaissance Unit in the Shuqeif Heights area (Beaufort) in southern Lebanon, a terrorist from the Hezbollah terrorist organization who was inside a building opened fire toward the forces. The forces immediately returned fire toward him and eliminated him. During the encounter, two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded and taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified. Shortly afterward, the forces fired shells at the site where the terrorist had hidden and eliminated him. In addition, the IDF attacked additional combat depots, headquarters, and terrorist infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the area. The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel or its forces, will continue working to remove threats, and will remain committed to the ceasefire agreement.
Translated from Arabic#Breaking In response to the launch of two explosive-laden drones toward our forces in the security zone, the IDF attacked infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in southern Lebanon. Terrorists from the Hezbollah terrorist organization launched two explosive-laden drones last night (Monday) toward IDF forces operating in the Ali al-Taher Heights area, located within the security zone in southern Lebanon. There were no injuries among our forces. Immediately afterward, in response to the launch of the drones, the IDF attacked a number of terrorist infrastructures belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas in southern Lebanon, including a weapons warehouse. In addition, the IDF attacked a number of terrorists who were observed transporting weapons in the Kfar Rumman area, in order to remove the threat to our forces. Before the strikes were carried out, steps were taken to reduce harm to uninvolved people, including the use of precision munitions and aerial reconnaissance. The claim that a number of uninvolved people were injured as a result of the strikes is being examined. In addition, following yesterday’s (Sunday’s) launch of the two explosive-laden drones, the IDF attacked and killed a number of terrorists from the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Nabatieh area. The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel or its forces, and will continue to work to remove threats, and will remain committed to the ceasefire agreement.
Translated from ArabicSummary of the Chief of Staff’s “Daybreak 2.0” exercise: testing the Israel Defense Forces’ readiness to handle a sudden, multi-front event. Yesterday (Sunday), an unannounced exercise was held for the Chief of Staff to assess the alertness and readiness of the General Staff and the Israel Defense Forces’ main headquarters, with the aim of examining the ability to deal with a broad-scale, complex, multi-front surprise event. During the exercise, alert status was unexpectedly raised at all regional command headquarters, directorates, and branches, and they trained on a variety of scenarios, including ground, air, and naval incursions; indirect-fire incidents alongside terrorist shooting attacks; mass-casualty incidents; and kidnapping and hostage-taking situations, as well as additional scenarios designed to test the defense concept and the implementation of defense orders on all fronts. As part of this, they practiced activating regular and reserve alert forces by land and air, including the actual call-up of battalions and special units. The forces rushed to the various areas and fronts in order to provide a response in the shortest possible time. In parallel, multi-branch cooperation among the air, ground, and naval forces was examined, along with decision-making mechanisms and operational response at all levels, from the regional commands, branches, and directorates up to the General Staff. The Israel Defense Forces will conduct a process of extracting and thoroughly studying the lessons learned from the exercise, identifying weaknesses and points worthy of note, in order to continue improving the defense system and the Israel Defense Forces’ readiness for a variety of scenarios. The exercise was conducted במסגרת the Operations Directorate’s 2026 training program.
