UK Maritime Trade Operations issued Warning 121-26 after a tanker was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, northwest of Oman's Musandam Peninsula. The incident was reported at 17:30 UTC on August 25 and caused a fire that the crew extinguished. All crew were safe and accounted for, and no environmental impact was reported. Local authorities are investigating, while UKMTO advised vessels to transit cautiously and report suspicious activity. The warning is separate from an August 24 tanker strike near Ash Shishah, Oman.
