Israel Police and the Shin Bet say they recently arrested Hamdan Hamdan, 32, of Majd al-Krum, on suspicion of security offenses involving contact with a foreign agent. Authorities allege that Hamdan knowingly maintained contact for several months with a woman operating from Lebanon and received requests to carry out security-related tasks. They say she tried to compensate him through products bought in Israel and transferred to him. The official statement did not specify the tasks, say whether they were completed or identify the agent's organization; prosecutors are expected to file an indictment on Sunday, September 20.
