Change Bloc Leaders Sign Pact Not to Attack Each Other, Defer Choice of PM Candidate

Opposition leader Yair Lapid, Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman and Yair Golan signed a joint principles document at Lapid's Tel Aviv home on Saturday night. They pledged that until a government is formed, none of them or anyone on their behalf will attack a partner party or its leader, and to act together after the election to form a government. Within 48 hours they will set up three joint working groups on voter turnout, guidelines for the next government and messaging. The document names no candidate for prime minister; the leaders agreed to settle that after the election. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded that Eisenkot would form a left-wing government with them and the Arab parties, and that only a big Likud will stop them.
