The IDF said Thursday that Tuesday’s airstrikes in Gaza killed two commanders who participated in the October 7 massacre. It identified Muhammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu al-Shaar, a Hamas squad commander killed in Gaza City, as a participant in the abduction of six hostages from Kibbutz Be’eri. A separate strike in Jabalia killed Musab Abd al-Jalil Sakab Balbisi, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander who also entered Israel during the massacre. The military said both recently advanced terrorist attacks against Israeli troops and civilians in violation of the ceasefire. It said precision weapons and aerial surveillance were used to reduce harm to civilians.
