Bedouin Communities Reportedly Plan Separate Voting Hours for Women and Men

Bedouin communities are reportedly preparing informal arrangements for women and men to vote at different times in Tuesday’s Knesset election. The initiative, disclosed on Thursday evening, aims to increase participation among the dispersed Bedouin population. Designated voting hours for men and women have reportedly been circulated within the communities. Tens of thousands of Bedouin women were reportedly encouraged to vote, many for the first time in their lives. The report describes informal community arrangements and does not identify an official change to polling-station rules.
