U.S. Says All Iranian Missiles at Jordan Base Were Intercepted

U.S. Central Command said Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched multiple ballistic missiles at 5:45 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday in an attempted surprise attack on American forces at a base in Jordan. CENTCOM said every missile was intercepted and U.S. forces remained vigilant and at high readiness. The barrage ended a brief pause in direct U.S.-Iran fighting while mediators sought renewed negotiations. It was the first Iranian ballistic-missile attack on a U.S. regional base since President Donald Trump paused American strikes Friday, after an earlier Iranian attack in Jordan killed three U.S. service members this month.
