Likud Primary Turnout Reaches 26.44 Percent, Ahead of the 2022 Race

Turnout in the Likud primary reached 26.44 percent of eligible members by 16:30 on Monday, about 1.4 percentage points above the pace of the party's 2022 race at the same hour. Polling stations across the country opened at 10:00 and close at 21:00, with results expected from Bloomfield Stadium that evening. Roughly 140,000 registered members are eligible to vote, a record in the party's history, and about 40 ministers, Knesset members and former Knesset members are competing for a limited number of open slate positions. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holds nine reserved slots of his choosing among the top 29 places.
