Ten Disqualification Requests Reach Election Committee as Filing Window Closes

Israel’s Central Elections Committee said ten requests were filed by Monday’s 10 p.m. deadline to disqualify lists or candidates who registered on September 7. Three target Ra’am, while two seek to bar Otzma Yehudit; other filings concern the Democrats, Religious Zionism and Zehut, Yair Golan, and Yoram Cohen. Requests against individual Otzma candidates, Golan and the Israel First list were dismissed at the threshold, while list-level petitions remain for hearings next week. Filings tied to lists submitted September 8 may be lodged until Tuesday at 10 p.m.
