Trump Says Iran War Will End Soon, One Way or the Other

U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday at a Columbus Day celebration at the White House that the war with Iran would end soon, “one way or the other.” He claimed U.S. action had prevented Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and severely weakened its armed forces, and said an Iranian nuclear weapon would threaten Israel first and then the United States. He also predicted lower fuel prices. His remarks did not announce a completed peace agreement or a timetable for ending the war.
