Trump Says Iran Conflict Will End Soon at White House Columbus Day Event

Speaking at an October 9 White House event marking Columbus Day, U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States had prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. He predicted that the conflict would end soon, “one way or another,” and that fuel prices would fall. At the same event, Trump also claimed that Iran no longer had an army, navy, air force or air-defense systems. He also claimed that nobody was passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
