Ben Gvir Says Arab MKs Backing a Palestinian State Should Not Sit in Knesset

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said on October 13 that members of the Joint List and Arab parties who support a Palestinian state should not sit in the Knesset, describing them as a “fifth column.” His post included an image quoting Joint List chairman Yousef Jabareen in a radio interview. Jabareen said the program was a Palestinian state within the 1967 boundaries alongside Israel and argued that opponents of Netanyahu should offer a diplomatic horizon. Ben Gvir also called for dismantling the Palestinian Authority, strengthening settlement and applying sovereignty.
