Ben Gvir Says Netanyahu Shares Responsibility for October 7 Failures

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared responsibility for the failures surrounding the October 7 attack, while assigning greater blame to the military and intelligence establishment. In an interview first published on October 22, the Otzma Yehudit leader specifically named the army, intelligence services and Shin Bet in his criticism. Ben Gvir said he wanted Netanyahu to remain prime minister and preferred him to Gadi Eisenkot. He also said he would stay out of a unity government bringing Netanyahu and Eisenkot together.
