Shaul Meridor Criticizes Netanyahu Over October 7 and Absence of State Inquiry

Shaul Meridor criticized Benjamin Netanyahu in an October 13 Hebrew post, saying he repeatedly hears from former Likud voters that the prime minister will not accomplish now what he failed to do over 20 years. Meridor pointed to the October 7 attack occurring during Netanyahu’s leadership and held him politically responsible for the failure. He said Israel was still dealing with its consequences three years later. Meridor also criticized what he described as the continuing absence of a state commission of inquiry to establish the truth about the events.
