Merav Ben-Ari Calls for Government’s Replacement and State Inquiry After Avi Gil Interview

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of the Knesset exterior in Jerusalem, viewed behind an iron fence with hedges, lamp posts and overhead branches, used as archival context for Ben-Ari’s demand for a state inquiry.

Merav Ben-Ari called for Benjamin Netanyahu and his entire government to leave office after watching Avi Gil’s interview. In a Hebrew post, she described the interview’s silences as troubling and criticized Netanyahu over allegations involving changes to wartime protocols. She also accused him of abandoning hostages and referred to the deaths and physical and psychological injuries of captives. Ben-Ari demanded that a state commission of inquiry be established promptly, presenting those demands as her response to the interview.
