In a Hebrew post on October 8, Efrat Rayten accused Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to rewrite the narrative following the October 7 failure. She quoted remarks she attributed to his former military secretary, Maj. Gen. Avi Gil, including “Netanyahu knew everything” and a statement that he had read all the intelligence and heard all the assessments. Rayten said the remarks should surprise nobody, citing Netanyahu’s longstanding public presentation as thorough, prepared and knowledgeable. She also called Netanyahu unreliable in the same post.
