Liberman Says Israel Should Prevent Sanctions Instead of Seeking Ways Around Them

Avigdor Liberman said Israel should prevent diplomatic isolation and economic sanctions rather than prepare ways to circumvent them, criticizing Benjamin Netanyahu’s discussion of the issue. In a Hebrew statement on Saturday morning, he challenged Netanyahu’s presentation of cryptocurrency and blockchain as a possible answer to sanctions. Liberman argued that digital transactions can be traced and that authorities can identify and block activity connected to sanctioned wallets. He pledged that the next government would work to take Israel out of diplomatic isolation and remove the threat of sanctions.
