CENTCOM Launches First Multinational Attack Drone Task Force

U.S. Central Command announced efforts to establish Task Force Falcon Strike, its first multinational force for one-way attack drones operating in the air, on the sea and below it. U.S. and regional-partner military personnel will staff the force, led by U.S. Special Operations Command Central from MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. CENTCOM said it is consulting and formally inviting partners but has not named participating countries. Admiral Brad Cooper said integrating the capabilities would help partners rapidly realize new possibilities, building on a U.S. drone squadron already used against Iranian port facilities.
