Iran’s Basij Chief Claims U.S. and Israel Are at Their Weakest

Iranian Basij commander Hossein Taeb claimed the global balance of power is shifting and described the United States and Israel as being at unusually weak points. He said Washington was no longer the “center of the world” and Israel no longer the center of the Middle East. Taeb also accused Iran’s adversaries of breaking commitments and returning to pressure. He linked Europe’s weakened position to President Donald Trump’s national security strategy and warned Iranians against treating renewed negotiations as evidence that their adversaries had changed course.
