Acting Elections Chief Warns Against Consulting AI About Voting
Published
Attorney Dean Livne, acting director-general of the Central Elections Committee, warned at the People of the State conference against consulting artificial intelligence about voting. He said different user profiles could receive different answers, some biased, and argued that chatbots scan online material without reliably distinguishing true information from false information or identifying the facts. Livne also warned that social-media bots were repeating messages intended to make people believe the election was rigged. He said those accusations were circulating before the election had even taken place.
