Jordan Says Eight Missiles Destroyed After Iran Targeted U.S. Bases

Jordan’s armed forces said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed eight missiles that entered the kingdom’s airspace at dawn Monday. A military spokesperson said the interception followed operational assessments and approved rules of engagement, and that the missiles were eliminated before threatening citizens or property. Iranian state television showed ballistic missiles fired toward U.S. bases in Jordan in response to a U.S. strike on Larak Island. Jordan said its forces remained at the highest readiness to protect the kingdom’s sovereignty, security and stability.
