U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee reaffirmed American support for Israel and the Jewish people in a statement marking the third anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack. He described the assault as an Iran-backed Hamas attack that took place during Simchat Torah and Shabbat. Huckabee mourned the victims and expressed prayers for their families and for those who survived. He also said Jewish people had faced a significant surge in antisemitism, including attacks against Israel, and condemned that hostility in his anniversary message.
