Meirav Cohen Calls for a Government Without Haredi Parties

Meirav Cohen called on October 8 for a government without Haredi parties, arguing that a change in coalition composition was needed to address violence against IDF soldiers and police. In a Hebrew statement on X, she accused Benjamin Netanyahu, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich of providing political backing for that violence. Cohen attributed their stance to political dependence on Haredi parties and said that only a government excluding those parties could change the situation. She argued that those who serve in the military and work would bear the cost.
