Source Says Israel Has Not Authorized Gaza Outpost Construction

A person with direct knowledge said Israel has not allowed contractors and trucks into Gaza to build an outpost for President Donald Trump's Board of Peace. The project, assigned to Louisiana-based Arkel International under an early-August contract, is intended to house 150 international stabilization-force personnel. The source described a rotating contingent drawn from 500 personnel from Morocco and Kosovo. The source also said the absence of the outpost and related security arrangements was preventing other reconstruction work from starting. The Board's spokesperson, the IDF and the Israeli government declined comment; Israel's reasons for withholding access were not established.
