NYC Muslim Coalition Launches Anti-BDS Israel Bond Campaign
A New York Muslim-led coalition announced a virtual Thursday launch for an anti-BDS campaign that asks 500,000 supporters to give at least $1 by October 9. Organizers say the money will be invested in Israel treasury bonds, with proceeds distributed to coexistence and antisemitism-fighting groups including Sharaka, the Jerusalem Interfaith Center, the Combat Antisemitism Movement and Debate for Peace. The coalition includes AMMWEC, Muslim Women Speakers Bureau, Global Youth Unity Project, Abraham PRC and Muslims Israel Dialogue. Sheikh Musa Drammeh said the effort answers Zohran Mamdani's BDS support and argues boycotts hurt Israeli, Arab Israeli and Palestinian workers.
