Eisenkot Rejects Rotation, Says Bennett and Liberman Hurt Election Chances

Former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot told Kan Reshet Bet that he opposes a rotation agreement or alternate-prime-minister framework for the opposition bloc, saying a prime minister should receive a four-year term. He said Naftali Bennett and Avigdor Liberman were wrong not to establish rules for selecting the bloc’s candidate and were damaging its election chances. Eisenkot also rejected post-election “tricks” to choose the prime minister. Yisrael Beytenu responded that Liberman brings experience rather than ego and challenged Eisenkot to say which parties he would include in a coalition.
