U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday in the Oval Office that Washington must choose between attacking Iran and reaching an agreement with its leaders. Asked how a deal could be reached, he said, “We have to make that decision,” and described military action and an agreement as alternatives. Trump also claimed the United States had complete control of the Strait of Hormuz, while acknowledging that an Iranian mine affecting a ship could change that. He did not announce which option he would pursue.
