U.S. Says Two More Iranian UN Delegates Were Expelled After Ignoring Departure Order

A U.S. official said two additional members of Iran’s visiting United Nations delegation had been expelled from the United States after remaining in New York following the General Assembly. The State Department had previously instructed Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his delegation to leave the country on Monday, but the two members did not comply. The official associated the subsequent enforcement with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The disclosure concerns the expulsion of those remaining delegates after the earlier departure order.
