Iranian Source Denies Report of Nuclear Inspector Offer for Sanctions Relief

An unnamed Iranian source denied that Tehran had offered to admit International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to bombed nuclear facilities in exchange for sanctions relief. The source was responding to a report that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi raised the proposal in private meetings with European and Middle Eastern officials around the UN General Assembly in New York. The reported offer concerned sites damaged in U.S. and Israeli strikes, amid stalled U.S.-Iran diplomacy. The denial was attributed to an anonymous source rather than a named government official.
