Iran's embassy in the Netherlands said on October 6 that Iran had told the OPCW's Executive Council of damage to 60 petrochemical complexes, 44 pharmaceutical factories and seven pharmaceutical facilities, totaling 111 sites. It said the damage disrupted supply chains and affected implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention. In a separate statement, the embassy accused the United States of attacks on chemical facilities. For context, on March 31 the IDF said it struck Iran's Towfigh Daroo factory, which it said supplied fentanyl to SPND for chemical-weapons research and development.
