Haskel Thanks Syrian Druze for Rally Supporting Israel on October 7 Anniversary

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival 2006 town-square scene in as-Suwayda, Syria, with a statue on a pedestal, trees, a red-roofed building and a dark stone tower; contextual view that does not depict the 2026 rally.

Sharren Haskel thanked Syrian Druze in an October 8 statement describing a rally in as-Suwayda in support of the people of Israel. She said participants organized the rally to mark three years since the October 7 massacre. Haskel said Druze communities in northern Israel and Druze across the Syrian border shared common ground. She described the rally as opposing the terror apparatus that, she said, still seeks Israel's destruction, and thanked the participants for their support.
