Netanyahu Confirms Egyptian Intelligence Chief’s Pre-October 7 Visit

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in an interview that former Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel visited Israel before Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack. Netanyahu denied meeting Kamel during that visit. He said he was attending a memorial ceremony for fallen IDF soldiers at Mount Herzl when Kamel’s plane arrived. Netanyahu said he does not know whom Kamel met and wants the security and law-enforcement authorities to establish that. The comments came during his appearance on The Patriots on Tuesday evening.
