Yoram Cohen Questions Netanyahu’s Account of Egyptian Intelligence Chief’s Visit

Former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen questioned Benjamin Netanyahu’s account of the Egyptian intelligence chief’s visit before October 7 in a radio interview on October 14. Cohen said prime ministers normally receive reports about visits by intelligence chiefs from important countries, including their arrival and the substance of meetings. He argued that such information would ordinarily reach the prime minister. In a separate interview, Likud MK and Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Boaz Bismuth rejected the criticism as campaigning against Netanyahu and said the prime minister does not disclose materials that could support his position.
