Buaron Claims an Eisenkot Government Would Have to Advance Palestinian Statehood

Likud MK Avichay Buaron claimed on October 14 that a government led by Gadi Eisenkot, if formed, would have to advance Palestinian statehood. His post referred to a 103FM interview with Joint List chairman Yosef Jabareen published the previous day. Jabareen advocated a Palestinian state alongside Israel on the 1967 boundaries and a diplomatic process addressing Palestinian self-determination. He said support for an alternative government would require negotiations rather than automatic backing, with decisions to follow the elections. He also clarified that he was not claiming a Palestinian state would be established immediately after the vote.
