Liberman Targets Winter Over Coalition Ties and Military Enlistment

Avigdor Liberman accused Ofer Winter on Friday of aligning with a prospective government opposed to military enlistment and urged voters to support Yisrael Beiteinu. He said a stronger mandate for him would allow him to enlist those evading service. In an October 3 interview, Winter said he could sit in government with Yitzhak Goldknopf despite strong criticism of him, but would not join before resolving the enlistment issue. Liberman’s October 23 post renewed the campaign dispute over coalition partners and military service.
