Winter Rejects Smotrich’s Offer of a Ministry Post in Return for Withdrawal

Ofer Winter, leader of Amcha Israel, rejected Bezalel Smotrich’s offer of a ministerial post in exchange for withdrawing from the election on Wednesday evening. Winter said his party had entered politics to change policy and represent people who serve in the military, rather than secure positions for its leaders. He reaffirmed that Amcha Israel belongs to the right-wing camp, while rejecting unconditional support for a future government. He said the party’s backing would depend on policy commitments rather than an offer of office.
