Israel’s Population Reaches 10.305 Million Ahead of Rosh Hashanah

Israel’s population is estimated at 10.305 million ahead of Rosh Hashanah, after increasing by about 124,000 people, or 1.2%, over the past Hebrew year, according to Central Bureau of Statistics figures. The total includes 7.828 million Jews and others, 2.173 million Arabs and 304,000 foreign residents. About 182,000 babies were born and 50,000 people died during the year. Some 24,000 new immigrants arrived and 21,000 Israelis returned, while 57,000 left the country, producing a net migration loss of about 8,000.
