IDF Sources Say No Specific Alert After Netanyahu’s Election Warning

Senior IDF officials said Tuesday evening that Israel had no specific intelligence of an impending attack, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that enemies might strike before the October election. A security official said a cabinet consultation described as urgent had been arranged a week earlier. Military sources said there had been no unusual deployment or change in the threat assessment beyond routine holiday vigilance, and the Home Front Command had not changed its public instructions. Netanyahu was expected to brief opposition leader Yair Lapid later that night after Lapid requested an update on the warning.
