Fake Reporter Finds Over 100 Fake Instagram Profiles Targeting Israeli Right-Wing Figures

Israeli research group Fake Reporter said Monday it identified more than 100 AI-created fake Instagram profiles posing as Israelis. According to the group, the profiles attacked Bezalel Smotrich, Ofer Winter and Channel 14 while repeatedly expressing support for Itamar Ben-Gvir. Many followed people associated with Otzma Yehudit's campaign, including a group linked to Ofer Rosenbaum, the researchers said. They also noted similarities to a previously identified network on X. The report describes the accounts' behavior but does not establish who operated or funded them.
