Bennett Warns IDF Could Collapse Without More Recruits

At a protest sukkah in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square on Tuesday evening, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned that the Israel Defense Forces faced a personnel crisis and could collapse without more recruits. Bennett said officers had told him shortages of lookouts and snipers were putting soldiers at risk, and he blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government for the shortage. He called for recruiting Haredi men in the next Knesset term. After the speech, Bennett met former hostage Yocheved Lifshitz and Einav Zangauker, mother of former hostage Matan Zangauker.
