Police Official Says Braverman Admitted Altering October 7 Call Record

An unnamed senior police official said on October 9 that Tzachi Braverman admitted altering the recorded time of an October 7, 2023 telephone call. The official said police had submitted evidence of suspected forgery to prosecutors and that more than a year had passed without a decision on an indictment. The claim follows former military secretary Avi Gil's account that a stenographer was instructed to change the time from 06:40 to 06:29. Braverman previously denied wrongdoing, and his lawyer Jacques Chen said he had acted within his authority to correct a recording error.
